 Philippians 4:19

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

Every time we hear that verse we nod our head and acknowledge its truth.  But why is it every time the Lord supplies our needs, we are amazed at His perfect timing and complete provision?

At the beginning of 2007 we felt the Lord leading us to set our departure date for Chile  even though we had not reached the 80% of our needed support, which is what the mission requires us to have in order to go.  We chose November 2007.  Through the spring and summer we visited churches and continued to serve where we had opportunity.  By July we slowed down the pace a little and were able to start preparations for leaving.  We had seen a little support come in, yet we were still further behind than expected.  In faith we continued to make preparations to go in November.  In August we started our last round of church visits.

Then the amazing happened!

Within the next couple months the Lord provided 14% of the 15% lacking.  We are currently at 79% .  What is truly amazing is that He provides from where He sees fit, and it never seems to be from where we expect.

We thank and praise our great God for what He has done.  We pray that we will never forget to not only acknowledge the fact that He can provide, but also learn to live our lives dependant on the reality that He has, does, and will provide all our needs.  Maybe you were one that God used to provide, thank you!  Or maybe you were one praying that God would provide, thank you!  We serve a Great and Mighty God, one who knows our needs, answers our prayers, and will see His work go forward.
